’90 Day Fiancé’ Stars Elizabeth and Andrei Castravet Said No to Rumored Couples Spinoff: ‘Too Good for That’
Elizabeth and Andrei Castravet don’t need TLC.
The 90 Day Fiancé pair say they won’t be part of a 90 Day Fiancé couples-focused spinoff that is rumored to be filming right now in Florida.
Libby and Andrei on rumored ‘90 Day’ spinoff: ‘Can’t sit with us’
Over the weekend, Libby took to social media to answer some fan questions. One person wanted to know why they had declined to be part of the new show.
“Because we’re the best and we’re too good for that,” the mom of two said in the video posted on her Instagram Story. “Is it not obvious? Can’t sit with us anymore.
“Gotta protect your peace,” she added.
“Yeah, if I work with somebody that doesn’t have brains they need to pay me much more,” Andrei, who is from Moldova, chimed in.
TLC hasn’t officially confirmed a new 90 Day show is in the works. But online sleuths, including fan account Kiki & Kibbitz, suspect that filming is underway for a spinoff. The show will supposedly focus on Cortney Reardanz’s wedding to her much-older boyfriend Phil. Other 90 Day alums that live in Florida are also rumored to appear, including Jasmine Pineda and Matt Branistareanu, Stacey Silva and Florian Sukaj, Darcey Silva and Georgi Rusev, and Loren and Alexei Brovarnik.
Libby had a major falling out with fellow ‘90 Day’ star Loren Brovarnick
Libby and Alexei’s feud with the latter couple could be the real reason they aren’t part of the new show. All four appeared together in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 9 in an interconnected storyline that focused on their friendship. Over the course of the season, Loren and Libby’s once-close relationship fractured after Libby learned that Loren thought Andrei was “a d*ck.” Libby then publicly shared details about Loren’s marriage to Alexei that she’d been told in confidence. The result? A massive falling out and an irreparably damaged friendship.
If Libby and Andrei really are done with the 90 Day franchise, it will mark the end of a nearly 10-year run on TLC. The pair first shared their story in 90 Day Fiancé Season 5 back in 2017. They went on to appear on 90 Day Fiancé: What Now?; multiple seasons of Happily Ever After?; 90 Day Fiancé: Love Games, 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk, 90 Day Diaries, and 90 Day Fiancé: HEA Strikes Back.
