Ariana Biermann Speaks Out After Charlie Zakkour Kiss in ‘Next Gen NYC’ Season 2 Finale: ‘Everybody Makes Mistakes’
Ariana Biermann isn’t proud of that kiss (and likely hookup) she shared with Charlie Zakkour.
In the Next Gen NYC Season 2 finale, Ariana decided to hit the brakes on her burgeoning romance with Liam Obergfoll. Soon after, she was seen sharing a kiss with Charlie. After the smooch, the pair retreated to her bedroom.
Ariana didn’t disclose what went on between her and Charlie behind closed doors. But whatever it was, it didn’t end well. In a confessional filmed months later, she called Charlie a “horrible human being” who “manipulated me with Jesus.”
The fallout from Ariana and Charlie’s possible fling looks like it will be a major topic in the Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion, which begins September 16. But in the meantime, Ariana is asking people to forgive her indiscretion.
“Watching this chapter of my life play out hasn’t been easy,” she wrote in a September 10 post on Instagram. “I made choices and handled things in ways i’m not proud of and, frankly, was ashamed of. i promise i’ve said worse to myself than anything y’all could say.”
“I’m grateful this chapter is finally out so i can close it and move forward,” she added. “Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days, and i refuse to let mine define me. thank you for being with me through it all.”
Commenters quickly chimed in to reassure the Bravolebrity that she shouldn’t beat herself up about a regrettable romantic experience in her early 20s.
“Everyone has had a ‘Charlie,’” one person wrote. “You’re young you’re supposed to make mistakes.”
Several of her Next Gen NYC cast members also shared word of support, with Brooks Marks even calling out Charlie’s shady links to two men accused of torturing a man for his Bitcoin password.
“It’s not like u chained someone in a basement or anything!!” he wrote. “Love u so much … we’re always our own worst critic.”
The Next Gen NYC reunion event begins Wednesday, September 16 at 9:15 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Uncensored episodes available to stream next day on Peacock.
