Stormi Steele and Tiffaney Jones unpack the drama surrounding this season’s mop comment in the first-ever Belle Collective: Birmingham reunion.

In a clip from the special, which airs May 29, the women discuss how an off-hand joke about cleaning up after a party spiraled into a larger conflict.

“It was unfortunate that it couldn’t have been resolved a lot quicker and easier,” Stormi says in the video shared on Instagram. “How did we get so far removed from me being able to say, ‘I didn’t like the mop comment?’”

To recap: Earlier this season, Tiffany hosted a game night for married couples. But Stormi and fellow cast member Amber Jones showed up solo. The pair weren’t able to participate in the couples-focused activities and instead ended up greeting guests and cleaning up. As the night drew to a close, Tiffany accused Stormi of “messing up” the event.

“I didn’t mess up no damn game night, I came up in here looking like royalty,” Stormi replied.

After some back and forth, Tiffaney fired back: “I need you to mop. Now I need you to mop.”

Stormi has been stewing about that perceived insult ever since. Meanwhile, Tiffaney claims she’s tried to clear things up with the Canvas Beauty mogul.

“I actually apologized to her at the Civil Rights Institution,” she says in the reunion cliip. “I said, ‘If I offended you, I apologize. How can we move forward?’”

“You did not take accountability and express how you felt,” Tiffaney adds. “However, I still gave you an apology, did I not?”

In addition to Stormi and Tiffaney revisiting the fallout that changed the group dynamic, the reunion episode – titled “Power, Pressure, and Betrayal” – sees K’La’s character attacked, Funmi facing an unexpected foe, and Amber revealing her true loyalty.

The Belle Collective: Birmingham reunion airs Friday, May 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
