Nathan Gallagher is speaking out for the first time since it was revealed that he was arrested late last year on domestic violence charges in Australia.

The Below Deck Mediterranean star told Rolling Stone that was not “perfect” and that he “made mistakes” while claiming that there was more to the story than people realized. He also confirmed that he and his Below Deck Med costar Gael Cameron had ended their relationship. They share a 1-year-old son.

“I will take responsibility for my own actions,” the reality star said. “But I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it.”

Gallagher, who was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent and common assault, claimed to have video footage from night the incident occurred, which he said provides “important context.”

“There are also other matters surrounding the relationship that I have never discussed publicly, including circumstances surrounding the breakdown of our relationship, previous allegations she made about a former partner and financial matters relating to the purchase of an apartment in Sydney,” Gallagher said, referring to Cameron.

“I have kept the evidence and will deal with it through the appropriate channels,” he continued. “But I also don’t believe it is fair for one version of events to be presented publicly as though it is the complete story when there is evidence that may materially contradict or provide significant context to that account.”

Nathan Gallagher reportedly won’t appear in ‘Below Deck Med’ Season 12

Cameron has not spoken publicly about Gallagher’s arrest or their current relationship status, nor has she confirmed that she was the victim in Gallagher’s case. However, an Apprehended Violence Application against Gallagher has been filed on her behalf.

Sources recently told the U.S. Sun that Gallagher will not appear on the next season of Below Deck Med. The show has not yet officially been renewed by Bravo

“He will not be on Season 12. It already filmed,” an insider claimed.
