Bunnie Xo Says Divorce Was Not Mutual, Jelly Roll Rejected Therapy
Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll have are getting a divorce. The couple has been together since before his music career took off, and they are now parting ways after nearly a decade of marriage. While she said that they are still on good terms, she admitted that the decision to end the marriage was not her idea. She wanted to fight to save their relationship.
Bunnie Xo opened up about her divorce from Jelly Roll
Jelly Roll recently filed for divorce. Bunnie said that he is currently “healthier than he’s ever been” following weight loss, and he is looking for a different relationship.
“Daddy Roll is probably in his finest season,” Bunnie said on her Dumb Blonde podcast. “I think he wants the complete opposite of me right now, which is what he deserves.”
While she is still supportive of him, she admitted that she wishes they had tried to salvage the relationship.
“I felt like we deserved a chance to go to therapy and figure s*** out,” Bunnie said. “He didn’t feel that way and I respect it. It took me a month and a half now to respect that.”
She said that it took her time to accept the divorce but she is in a better place with it now.
“Was it necessary for us to have a wakeup call and to actually start having these real conversations? Absolutely,” Bunnie said. “This was like a resurrection of my soul, because I literally feel like a different human than I was a month and a half ago — and I’m so thankful.”
Bunnie Xo said she and Jelly Roll are still on good terms after their divorce
Though Bunnie didn’t initially want the divorce, she said that it has gone as well as it could have.
“My husband and I are ending this marriage on the best possible terms,” she said on her Dumb Blonde podcast. “We’re literally settling our divorce. We’ve done it in two weeks, three weeks.”
In their settlement, he gave her a compound with three homes that she designed.
“J is so f***ing sweet that he’s giving me that compound in the divorce,” she said, “because he knows how special it is to me.”
They are even planning to have a child together. Before the divorce, Bunnie was undergoing IVF, and they picked out a surrogate.
“That’s my f***ing best friend, dude. Like, I love him,” she said. “And you guys are going to be shocked to hear this, but we’re still having a baby. We have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered.”
She said that she is encouraging him to date
Bunnie admitted that Jelly Roll has already started dating. According to her, he wants to settle into another relationship, but she is encouraging him to keep things casual for now.
“He wants to settle down, but I’m just like, ‘J, you just got out of a 10-year relationship,'” Bunnie said. “I’m like, ‘Go play the f***ing field, bro. This is your time to shine. Go f***ing drop that f***ing wiener off everywhere, dude.'”
She said that she is also looking forward to single life.
