Travis Kelce Wears Heels ‘Almost as High’ as Taylor Swift’s and Fans Lose It
Travis Kelce celebrated his 37th birthday by stepping out for dinner with Taylor Swift in New York City.
The NFL player and his pop star wife were photographed arriving and leaving the Italian restaurant Torrisi in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood on Monday, Oct. 5. For the occasion, the couple appeared to coordinate their evening outfits around a sleek black palette.
Swift rocked a black lace-trimmed midi dress by Simkhai, which featured delicate lace detailing and a fitted silhouette. She layered the dress with an oversized black leather bomber jacket. The “Fate of Ophelia” singer finished the look with strappy Jimmy Choo sandals and carried a black Givenchy leather bucket bag.
But it was Kelce’s look that really got fans’ attention.
He wore a dark gray cardigan over a white T-shirt, paired with charcoal-black trousers. The athlete sported a pair of black polished shoes with his outfit, and that is what fans can’t stop talking about. That’s because in photos of his look for the night, you can clearly see that his shoes have heels, and it’s not a subtle heel either. This led to many taking to social media and having a little fun commenting on his footwear.
“He’s got on 4-inch heels too,” one user commented, while another agreed, “His heels are almost as high as Taylor’s.”
A third person asked, “What kind of shoes is he wearing?” as another called them, “sasquatch heels.”
A fifth joked, “I didn’t know they made a men’s 13 stiletto heel, lol.”
“Are their stylists on holiday?” asked another.
“His high heel boots are stunning,” another posted sarcastically.
The couple’s Monday night dinner followed an eventful weekend for them. One day before his birthday celebration, Kelce helped the Chiefs defeat the Las Vegas Raiders before beginning the team’s bye week. Swift, meanwhile, had been spending time in New York and made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live alongside her friend, Dakota Johnson.
The birthday dinner also marked Kelce’s first birthday as a married man. He and Swift tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026. Kelce later described the wedding as “the best night of my life” and said getting married at the iconic sports venue fulfilled a childhood dream.
Although the couple kept the birthday celebration relatively low-key, the night at Torrisi offered another glimpse at their life together following their wedding, with the pair choosing a quiet Manhattan dinner rather than a large public birthday celebration.
