Taylor Swift Rocked Another Very Expensive Piece of Jewelry to the VMAs With Her Engagement Ring
All eyes were on Taylor Swift for her history-making night at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, in which the pop superstar took home multiple honors, becoming the most-awarded artist in VMA history with an impressive 32 Moon Person trophies to her name.
Before the ceremony got underway, Swift walked the red carpet in a black-and-white Tamara Ralph Fall 2026 Couture gown featuring a halter neckline and black velvet bodice with subtle mesh corseted cutouts. The lower half was an asymmetrically draped, liquid-metallic silver sequined column skirt with a thigh-high slit and crystal mesh. She added metallic silver, crystal-embellished strappy stiletto sandals by Le Silla.
Swift’s accessories also commanded attention as she sported Leviev earrings and some pricey statement rings by Etho Maria and Forever Diamonds New York. Here’s more about the “Patient Zero” singer‘s eye-catching rings.
Brett Afshar, founder and CEO of Queensmith jewelers, shared details with Showbiz Cheat Sheet about Swift’s Forever Diamonds New York standout ring and revealed how much it’s worth.
“Taylor Swift was spotted at the VMA’s wearing a stunning bespoke ring from Forever Diamonds New York, featuring an eye-catching arrangement of six different diamond cuts, set across two platinum bands,” he said. “The striking design showcases six geometric-cut diamonds: an oval, marquise, emerald, heart, pear and square kite cut.”
Afshar continued, “Based on the estimated proportions, the diamonds look to total around 3 carats. If the stones are natural diamonds, we estimate the ring could be valued at well over $662,000, while a comparable lab-grown version could be around $56,000 depending on the exact specifications, color, clarity, and quality of the stones.
“The ring is finished with two scallop-set platinum bands. The thicker band appears to measure approximately 3mm, complemented by a finer upper band of around 1.75mm, creating a layered and delicate finish while allowing the statement stones to remain the focus.”
Of course Swift’s massive engagement ring was on full display as well for viewers to see.
Jewelry expert and Managing Director at Angelic Diamonds Neil Dutta noted that her sparkler from Travis Kelce is “an Old Mine Brilliant cut diamond set in yellow gold with a bezel mount. Based on the proportions of the center stone, I would estimate it to be between 7 and 10 carats, giving the ring an approximate value of $1.6 million. While celebrity engagement rings often lean towards flawless modern diamonds in minimalist settings, this ring takes its inspiration from antique jewelry.”
Dutta added that Swift stacked her engagement ring with her wedding band, which is “a V-shaped yellow gold band set with a row of diamonds, with the shape allowing it to sit comfortably alongside her large diamond engagement ring … I’d estimate it could be worth anywhere in the region of $13,500 to $20,000, depending on the carat weight, quality, and number of diamonds used.”
