Brittany filed for divorce from Jax in 2024 after five years of marriage. But their split is still not final as they continue to argue about support, property, and financial issues. In his latest filing, Jax said that he’d asked Brittany to agree to a bifurcation but that she had not responded.

According to Jax’s lawyer, it is “clear that this marriage is beyond repair and that no one will benefit by keeping the parties bound to one another as husband and wife.”

“Nearly two years have passed since the case commenced with minimal case progression, and no set trial date, leaving [Taylor] with no clear path toward resolution and a justified desire to seek an alternate route to divorce,” Jax’s lawyer wrote (via Us Weekly).

“I desire to be divorced now,” Jax said. “I would like to move on with my life and to do so as an unmarried person.”

The former Bravo personality also said that he arrived to a recent settlement conference prepared to negotiate the financial terms of their split, but that Brittany was unprepared. Now, he wants a judge to order Brittany to pay $9,000 for allegedly delaying their divorce case.

‘Vanderpump Rules’ alums granted mutual restraining orders

In late August, Brittany was granted a restraining order against Jax after alleging a “pattern of acts of domestic violence” during their marriage, which she said continued following their separation. The Valley star said her ex had made violent threats and stalked her, and that he even threatened to “gut” her “like a fish.”

Several days later, Jax was granted his own restraining order against Brittany, with whom he shares a son, Cruz, 5. He claimed she’s been sabotaging his career and ability to earn a living by contacting possible business partners and employers and threatening to harass them if they worked with Jax. He said her actions cost him a spot on the Fox competition series Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test that would have brought in a $175,000 paycheck. Jax also accused her of being “massively unstable and an alcoholic.”
