Brittany submitted a petition to the Los Angeles County Superior Court on August 27 requesting the protective order, Page Six reported. In her filing, she alleged that Jax had abused her throughout their marriage.

During one fight, Jax threatened to “gut [her] like a f*cking fish” and “f*cking kill” her, The Valley star said. That argument also involved Jax throwing furniture, which caused her injuries. During their time together, Brittany says that her Vanderpump Rules co-star also subjected her to “coercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence.”

Now, a judge has ordered Jax to stay 100 feet away from Brittany. However, he did not grant her request for sole custody of their 5-year-old son, Cruz; a decision about his custody will be made at an upcoming hearing.

In court docs, Brittany specifically said that her co-parenting interactions with Jax have been difficult, saying that he “continuously” confronts her during custody-related interactions. She added that Jax’s behavior had her concerned for their child’s well-being, noting that her ex had called her various crude names in public and in front of their son.

Neither Brittany nor Jax has commented on reports of the restraining order.

‘The Valley’ star filed for divorce from Jax in 2024

Jax and Brittany started dating in 2015. They married in a lavish ceremony in her home state of Kentucky in 2019 and welcomed Cruz in 2021. They separated in 2024, with Brittany filing for divorce in August of that year. Their divorce proceedings are ongoing.

The Valley fans got a small glimpse of Jax’s behavior on the show, as the breakdown of his and Brittany’s marriage played out in the first two seasons. In season 2, Brittany accused him of abuse and said that he installed listening devices in their home so that he could spy on her while he was in rehab. He ultimately stepped away from the series at the end of season 2 to focus on his sobriety and mental health.

More recently, Jax began dating his and Brittany’s former publicist, Lori Krebs. Brittany has said she feels betrayed by the relationship, particularly because she considered Lori a friend.

“She was still my publicist. She was still making a retainer from me, still getting 10% of things from me,” Brittany said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live earlier in August. “She was still my friend, family basically. I had just invited her to the Fourth of July cookout at my house.”

“The lies are insane to try to flip the image and make them look better,” she added. “It’s never going to look better.”

In recent weeks, Jax has lashed out at Brittany several times on social media. In one now-deleted post, he criticized her parenting, while in another, he accused her of sabotaging his brand deals.
