Lewis Hamilton is winning over Kim Kardashian’s kids. 

The British racing car driver recently revealed that he’d gifted his girlfriend’s four children the most adorable gift of all—a puppy.

“My girlfriend’s kids, I love spending time with them,” Hamilton, 41, said at a press panel ahead of the F1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, which took place on October 25 (via People). 

“She’s got four, so I’m getting to play with these kids,” he continued. “I got them a dog this year, so little Halo is a new member of that family.”

Kim Kardashian, 46, shares four children with her ex-husband, Kanye West, 49: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.

Two days after Hamilton opened up about the gift, Kardashian took to Instagram to share a photo of her daughter, Chicago, cuddling with the cute pooch. 

Insiders have said that Hamilton’s solid relationship with Kardashian’s kids is a sign that he’s taking the romance seriously.

“Lewis has formed such a great bond with all the kids,’ a source told Heat. “It didn’t happen overnight. He definitely took his time and put in a lot of effort. Of course, he wanted to impress Kim; no doubt he was motivated by that, but he’s also genuinely interested in getting to know them.” 

“They’re very perceptive and would see right through him if he was just putting on an act. They’re also incredibly loyal to their dad, so the fact that they’ve embraced Lewis so enthusiastically says a lot,” the source continued. “He’s been very careful not to make them feel like he’s trying to replace Kanye, or really be any sort of authority figure at all. In a lot of ways, he’s a big kid himself, so it’s been fun for him to get the chance to play with them.”

The gift showed that Hamilton knew how to win Kim Kardashian’s kids over.

“Lewis couldn’t have played his hand any more perfectly,” the insider shared. “He’s been very respectful from the get-go and worked hard to build the kids’ trust over a period of time. They were all bowled over when he bought them this puppy, but what counts the most is how wonderfully he treats their mum. The kids are very connected to Kim; they can feel how happy and calm she is when he’s around and that directly impacts them.”

Longtime friends Kardashian and Hamilton went public with their romance earlier this year. In February, they looked cozy as they attended the Super Bowl together. They later attended Coachella together. And in early June, she was there to cheer him on at the Monaco Grand Prix. The latter appearance came days after The Kardashians star offered a peek at her romance with the F1 driver in an Instagram video of the pair riding bicycles together.
