Princess Anne‘s son, Peter Phillips, married Harriet Sperling on June 6 in a private ceremony at All Saints’ Church in Gloucestershire, England. This is Phillips’ second marriage. He was previously married to Autumn Kelly with whom he shares two daughters.

Not a ton is known about Phillips’ new bride or what her relationship is like with other members of the royal family. But now an expert says they have the answer about how Sperling and her mother-in-law get along.

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert. He has a degree in psychology and previously worked as a police officer, using his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.” Stanton frequently offers his expert analysis on high-profile public figures such as the royals.

On behalf of Betfair Casino, the expert analyzed the footage of the women together last week at Royal Ascot and told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that it’s clear how the Princess Royal feels about Sperling.

“Anne waving to the crowd seems more relaxed and happy than ever,” Stanton noted, adding, “She is beaming to the crowds and to her son’s new wife Harriet. They clearly get on very well. She has a broad duchenne smile and Harriet is totally reciprocating these gestures. They seem to be having a wonderful time together. Peter Phillips looks very relaxed and is just sitting back loving that his wife and mother are getting on so well.”

Showbiz Cheat Sheet acknowledges that conditions and cultures can impact body language and is sensitive to all backgrounds.
