Source Claims Many Swift-Kelce Wedding Guests Barely Knew the Couple

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot over the weekend in front of close to 1,000 wedding guests. While both halves of the couple are famous with many connections in the sports and entertainment world, they reportedly extended their guest list beyond just friends and family members. According to some insiders, a number of the guests didn’t have a personal relationship with the couple.

Kelce and Swift had their wedding at Madison Square Garden. The large venue accommodated their hundreds of guests, who included many major celebrities and sports figures. According to insiders, a number of people joked that they didn’t actually know the couple. 

“The running joke all night was, ‘How do you know Taylor and Travis?’” one entertainment insider told Naughty But Nice. “The funny part was that a lot of people couldn’t answer. Most weren’t close friends. Many barely knew the couple at all.”

Another insider compared the wedding to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s. They invited many members of the public to attend their celebration.

“It had that Harry and Meghan feel,” another source said. “There were real friends there, of course, but there were also lots of famous, important people who had no real connection to Taylor or Travis. The guest list became its own spectacle.”

Because of the sheer number of guests in attendance, many guests reportedly did not even get an opportunity to speak to Swift or Kelce.

“Most people never even got to say hello to Taylor or Travis,” a source said. “They certainly didn’t have a real conversation, and many don’t even have Taylor’s phone number or email to thank her afterward. That’s what happens when your wedding becomes a celebrity convention.”
