Travis Kelce has recently opened up about his wedding to Taylor Swift. The football player spoke glowingly about the ceremony, which they held at Madison Square Garden on July 3. Guests at the wedding have said very little about the day because they needed to sign NDAs to attend. Kelce’s decision to discuss it has reportedly frustrated some people.

Travis Kelce spoke about his marriage to Taylor Swift

After one of the Kansas City Chiefs’ practices, Kelce gave a bit of insight into his wedding. He said it was the perfect night.

“It was a fun offseason, man. The wedding was the best night of my life. I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us,” he said, per ESPN. “It was a crazy night, and it was full of a lot of celebrations.”

Kelce said he was grateful for the opportunity to host his wedding at Madison Square Garden.

“It’s kind of cool to be able to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, to be able to get married in there,” he said. “I can’t thank the owners of MSG [enough] for allowing us to get the opportunity to do that, knowing that we wanted a private event. It was perfect, and the AC was cooking, baby. That was the best part.”

Some of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding guests are reportedly frustrated by this

Kelce did not say much about the ceremony, beyond that it was fun and temperature-controlled. Still, his remarks have reportedly irritated some wedding guests. They signed NDAs, so they cannot talk about the big day.

“So the bride and groom are allowed to talk about it, but we aren’t?” one person asked, per Yahoo!. “It feels like there’s always one rule for Taylor and another for everyone else.”

Other guests complained that the couple expected them to stay silent about the wedding as if they weren’t in attendance. Still, others say that they understood that the rules should be different for the newlyweds.

“It’s Taylor and Travis’ wedding — of course they get to tell their own story,” one person said. “They’re the ones who got married. If they want to share memories from the night, that’s their choice. The NDA was there to protect their privacy, not silence the couple.”

Guests say the NDA was strict

According to guests, the NDAs they signed were serious.

“I won’t get into the details of the NDA,” guest Jonathan Thomas told USA Today. “But it had teeth.”

Despite this, they reportedly had no financial penalty for anyone who violated the NDA. Because of this, it seems that people are keeping quiet out of respect for the couple.
