A contestant on ‘The Traitors: New Blood’ seemed horrified during one scene

On a recent episode of The Traitors: New Blood, some contestants lay in coffins while those who were safe determined their fate. Celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino.ca said that Victor convinced himself he was going home. He was not happy about this.

“Victor was so sure, so absolutely certain that he’s getting murdered, that his body language responses were identical to the moves of a person in physical pain,” she explained. “While he’s in the coffin, Victor’s whole body writhes from side to side. He’s twisting and turning, and his face contorts as if he’s being tortured.”

The others couldn’t see him, so Honigman noted that his behavior was all genuine.

“This isn’t some dramatic show that he’s putting on for the others, as he’s in a box in the ground, in darkness, nobody to show off to,” she said. “Those torturous moves are a representation of how he feels, and he is one hundred percent sure that this is the end for him.”

Ultimately, though, Victor survived. He was incredibly relieved about this.

“His excessive clapping and cheering when he discovers that he’s still alive, are the antithesis of his former torment and devastation,” she said.

She said people should underestimate ‘The Traitors: New Blood’ contestant

According to Honigman, Victor could make it far in the game. She thinks that his body language will help protect him. People won’t be able to determine his motives.

“His excited, chaotic body language could keep him in the castle a lot longer than he should be,” she said. “As his face, arms, and body all move with no rhyme or reason, the other contestants will struggle to decipher his motives, and he’ll fly under the radar for a long while.”

The Traitors: New Blood airs on NBC on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
