Is a May-December relationship romantic, or just icky?

We TV and All Reality’s newest reality series dives into the controversial trend of age-gap relationships. Premiering this August, Age Inappropriate offers “an unfiltered look inside the lives of five couples navigating extreme age-gap relationships.”

Over eight episodes, Age Inappropriate explores the “complexities of power dynamics, family pressure, stereotypes, financial imbalance and yes, true love,” according to the network’s announcement. Will these age-gap couples be able to overcome their challenges and build a truly lasting love? Or are their passionate romances doomed to flame out? The show “seeks to uncover the answer, exploring the how and why behind what makes these relationships work – or fall completely apart.”

The Age Inappropriate cast hasn’t been announced. But a 30-second sneak peek released offers a glimpse at couples, in addition to revealing their age differences. The cast includes a 74-year-old man with a 33-year-old woman; a 47-year-old woman with a 28-year-old man; a 60-year-old woman with a 40-year-old man; a 24-year-old woman with a 50-year-old man; and a 60-year-old man with a 29-year-old woman.

“Well, the clock’s ticking,” the 50-year-old guys says in the clip.

“For me or for you?” his much-younger partner quips.

Age Inappropriate follows another recent reality show about age-gap romances. Netflix’s Age of Attraction, which premiered in March, followed contestants of various ages as they dated other cast members. They only learned their partner’s real age once they’d already committed to each other.

Age Inappropriate premieres in August 2026 on We TV and All Reality.
