Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson, who many have dubbed the King of Pop, was a singer, songwriter and dancer. He popularized complicated dance moves like the moonwalk and had massive hits like “Beat It”, “Billie Jean”, and “Thriller.”

His career began in 1964 as a member of the Jackson 5, which included his siblings Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon. He started his solo career in 1971, and by the ’80s, he was a pop icon.

In the ’90s and 2000s, Jackson faced allegations of child sex abuse, but he was never indicted.

He died of an overdose from drugs administered from his personal physician, who later was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
