’90 Day’ Alum Liz Woods Shares Update on Cancer Fight, Praises Fiancé and ‘Best Friend’ Alec for His Support
Liz Woods is looking to the future with her husband-to-be after a challenging few years.
Over the weekend, the 90 Day alum took to social media to share a throwback photo of herself and her fiancé, Alec.
“Oh, cancer!!! , this was also a year ago, and I’m not exactly out of the woods, however imagine being so sick at a point of your life, and you could never imagine you would meet your best friend at 98 pounds,” she wrote on Instagram.
“There is so much to my journey I kept private, @killpack_alec I was skin and bones & this man slept next to me by the toilet while I threw up all night and then some,” she continued. “Never left me for one moment, but to refill my Stanley, stay tuned for my wedding vows.”
Liz Woods was diagnosed with ovarian cancer
Liz, who appeared on multiple seasons of 90 Day: The Single Life with her then-boyfriend “Big Ed” Brown, has been battling cancer since 2024.
“It’s about a year ago I found out that I had ovarian cancer when I miscarried a baby, which also makes my past really hard because that’s who I thought I was going to, like, build a relationship with,” she said in a 2026 episode of 90 Day: The Single Life, apparently referring to her ex-boyfriend Jasyson, whom she dated after finally splitting from Ed.
“I kind of just ripped the Band-Aid off of my relationship, and I just really felt like I just went on the whole journey by myself of being sick,” she continued. “I’m definitely scared that, like, my sickness can push someone away. Do I date? Do I put myself out there? Is someone going to leave me because of it? Is someone not going to be ready to take on everything that I come with?”
Liz and Alec announced their engagement during the ‘90 Day: The Single Life’ tell-all
Despite her fears, Liz met a man who would stand by her in sickness and in health. During The Single Life Season 5 tell-all, she revealed that she’d gotten engaged to Alec, “the other guy I was talking to when I was on the trip.” (During her time on The Single Life, Liz had a vacation fling in the Dominican Republic with a man named Villa.)
“After all the laughs, adventures, late nights, and memories together, we finally get forever!” she said when announcing her engagement. “Alec and I are so excited for this next chapter.”
