’90 Day’ Star Shekinah Garner Melts Down on Social Media, Paola Mayfield Responds
Shekinah Garner did not have a good time on 90 Day: The Last Resort.
On Wednesday, the TLC star took to social media to share her real feelings about both the 90 Day Fiancé spinoff and her husband, Sarper Guven. She did not hold back, announcing that she was “done” with the 90 Day franchise and accusing Sarper of connecting with other women on dating apps.

Shekinah and Sarper are part of The Last Resort’s season 3 cast. The show follows them and other 90 Day couples as they participate in a unique group couples retreat at a historic castle in England. Shekinah – who first appeared with Sarper on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way in 2023 – had previously made it clear she wasn’t happy about her time on the show, calling it “trash,” “pathetic,” and a “waste of time.”
Now, the makeup artist says that agreeing to do The Last Resort made existing problems with her Turkish husband worse.
“One reason I’m done with this franchise is because of how they took us, a couple on the verge of DIVORCE, and chose to put us in inappropriate situations like games in sex swings and naming the parts of the genitalia,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on June 24, referring to a segment of the show where Sarper was paired with Paola Mayfield and asked to identify parts of the family anatomy.
Sarper was “the ONLY ONE PAIRED with someone else’s WIFE. Did they not care how Russ [Mayfield] or I would feel watching this later?” she asked.
Shekinah then went on to insult Paola.
“This isn’t a jealousy issue cause I could never be jealous of this heifer,” she wrote. “This is a RESPECT ISSUE.”
For her part, Paola seemed to take Shekinah’s gibe in stride. When the @90DayFianceUpdate fan Instagram account shared Shekinah’s posts, Paola – who appeared on season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé – replied.
“Imagine looking manufactured and still having an original problem,” she wrote, alone with a laughing while crying emoji.

In addition to lashing out at the 90 Day franchise and her Last Resort co-stars, Shekinah also had some choice words for Sarper.
In one post, she shared a photo of herself and her husband enjoying a meal out at a nice restaurant.
“On a date with my husband one week before he joined his precious dating apps … AGAIN,” she wrote over the image.
In another slide, she shared a screenshot of social media comment from Sarper where he said that he and Shekinah “are not married in mind or heart anymore just on paper.”
“I’m so stupid sometimes!” read the text Shekinah added on top of the screenshot. “So I guess that week together was just a technicality for him? No mind or heart present anymore?”
A third slide featured a screenshot of an old post from Shekinah where she accused Sarper of calling marriage to her a “punishment,” which took a “toll on [her] self worth.” She now says that he used those comments as an excuse to step outside their marriage.
“All because I said this,” she wrote. “He felt it was time to rev up the dating apps again!”
