‘RHOBH’ Star Brandi Glanville Reacts to Early ‘Special Forces’ Exit: ‘Am I a Disaster?’
Brandi Glanville knew competing on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test would be tough. But she wasn’t prepared for exactly how much pain she’d be in after the first challenge.

On Thursday’s episode of the Fox reality show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum became the first person eliminated after she suffered injuries following a head-first plunge from a helicopter into the ocean.
“I over-rotated. I know it felt like my head hit the water, and it was so hard,” Glanville told Us Weekly. “It was like immediately I was dizzy and I thought my whole body was in the water. Then my body hits the water after that. It was just like being run over by a truck.”
After the drop, Brandi and the other recruits had to swim to a dock. But she says she was hurting so much, making it to shore was a major challenge.
“My whole body is in pain,” she shared. “My right arm is the only thing I can use, and I have all the water kicking up from the jet skis. So I’m drinking the water and I’m thinking, ‘Parasites!’ That’s all I can think about. Like, what is happening in my mouth?”
Brandi’s particular concern about parasites likely stems from the various health problems she has been experiencing in recent years. She’s blamed many of her issues on a facial parasite, which she initially believed she contracted while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco in 2023. Her mystery illnesses have been debilitating, and by signing up for Special Forces, Brandi said she was hoping to stop letting fear rule her and “jump back into life.”

Once she was back on dry land, Glanville said she was “spinning” and could not hear. The situation was especially frustrating, because the other contestants – including Collin Gosselin, Candace Cameron Bure, and George Santos — seemed to be doing so much better than she was.
“Of course I’m thinking all these crazy things, but everyone seemed to go through it really easily” she said. “Like, I was the second one to do it, and I’m watching all these girls go do it, and I’m like, ‘Am I just a disaster? Why can’t I do it like everyone else?’”
Ultimately, Brandi was medically withdrawn from the competition.
“I’m, like, so proud that I just didn’t give up and I just didn’t want to be the first one out,” she told Us. “Obviously no one really wants to be. I wanted to prove to my kids I could do it, but I had to go to the doctor. I was done. But I think that this still proves to the kids that I was kind of a badass.”
