Timothée Chalamet Didn’t Want to Be ‘Romantic’ With Kylie Jenner at the Knicks Game, Said Body Language Expert

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner have become a courtside fixture at Knicks games this season. Chalamet is a lifelong fan of the team and enthusiastically celebrated their recent victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Chalamet remained focused on the game. He brushed off any attempts to be romantic with his girlfriend, said a body language expert.

Jenner grew up in Los Angeles, but she has supported the Knicks alongside Chalamet. According to celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino.ca, she seemed to be more supportive of her boyfriend than the team.

“She’s absolutely there to support her man, she is not for the sporting event, and she jumps in the air towards Timothée, copying his happiness and celebrating his joy,” Honigman said. “Kylie is happy, she’s enthusiastic, and is bounding with joy. Her happiness is expressed in her large moves, but it’s not the Knicks that she’s happy for.”

Honigman noted that Chalamet wanted to keep his focus on the game, even when Jenner embraced him.

“When she bounces towards Timothée to embrace him in congratulations, he’s happy to have her support, he accepts her and embraces her, but keeps facing the court, his eyes are not on Kylie, he doesn’t mind whether she’s there or not,” she said. “In keeping his eyes on the court, he’s sending Kylie the message that this moment is about the team and the fans, and it isn’t a time to get all romantic for the cameras.”

Honigman believes that Jenner’s celebration had more to do with her happiness for Chalamet than the Knicks’ victory.

“Kylie is seen leaning fully on him, revealing how dependent she is on him in that moment, because she’s there for him and not for the Knicks, but then Timothée stabilises her by his side, to stop her from leaning on him,” she said. ‘He needs some space around him so that he can celebrate freely and fully. His initial response indicates his joy for the Knicks, while her initial response indicates her joy for her partner.”

Honigman added that Chalamet’s behavior didn’t seem to hurt Jenner’s feelings. She was happy to watch him celebrate.

“Later, Timothée is seen bouncing up and down with other fans, while Kylie takes a step back and is filming him on her phone,” she said. “She understands that she is to take a back seat in this situation, and she doesn’t mind. Kylie is seen smiling broadly as she gazes at her man, to show that she’s happy to be there with Timothée, even if he’s celebrating with other men and not with her.”

How long have the couple been together?

Jenner and Chalamet have had more attention on their romance amid his Oscar run and the Knicks’ season. They’ve been together since the spring of 2023. 

While people initially believed their relationship was a PR stunt, they’re still going strong. The couple has reportedly discussed marriage.

“They are very serious and have talked about getting engaged this year,” a source close to the couple told Us Weekly in early 2026.

The source added that the couple’s personalities complement each other well.

“Kylie definitely runs the show, and Timothée loves it,” they said. “It is a great balance between both of their personalities, and it works.”
