Plenty of celebrities lean into the way the spotlight falls on their whole family, but musician Drake isn’t usually one of them. Since his birth in 2017, Drake’s son Adonis Graham hasn’t had much time in the public eye. While Drake has sometimes put his son and his feelings about being a father into his songs, glimpses of the young boy have been quite rare.

That made the recent video of Adonis roasting his father even more entertaining for fans.

Adonis Graham is the son of Drake and Sophie Brussaux

Drake has been open about his own complicated father-son relationship and his intentions to be a more present father. However, the news about Adonis Graham broke to the public in a fairly dramatic fashion.

Fellow rapper Pusha T called Drake out on a diss track titled “The Story of Adidon.” There, Pusha T accused Drake of hiding his son and not stepping up to be a father: “You are hiding a child, let that boy come home, deadbeat motherf**ker.”

The rumors started to swirl as people tried to figure out who the mother of this alleged child could be, and Drake even went so far as to hire a lawyer to publicly claim Brussaux’s allegations that he had gotten her pregnant was not true. Later, Drake did acknowledge he had a son after a short-term fling with Brussaux and defended himself against the deadbeat claims by saying he was financially supporting the child.

Still, any glimpses of the rapper with the boy were few and far between, and he rarely shared them himself. A 2020 post where Drake, in the midst of social distancing, posted about missing his son drew attention.

Drake shared a video of Adonis Graham speaking in French

As Yahoo! reports, Drake asks his son, “Do you think you’re going to be bigger than me,” and his son says “Yeah,” without skipping a beat.

Later in the video, Adonis asks his dad: “You want I teach you how to speak en France?”

His son says something that Drake asks him to translate, to which Adonis says: “I said, ‘When you’re older, you are all broken, and you’re going to turn back into space.”

Drake asked if his son really said that or was just making it up, and the pair giggle adorably in their moment of shared silliness.

This rare glimpse of Adonis has some fans wondering about Drake’s love life these days. After he posted the pics of his curly-headed son back in 2020, some wondered if he and Brussaux had entered a relationship, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

In fact, Drake’s relationship history shows that he’s had a string of short-term flings and plenty of rumored loves over the years but few serious romances. There have been many “friends” throughout Drake’s years in the spotlight, but he rarely admits to any serious connection. He was known to be dating Johanna Leia last year, but Rap Up reports that the two split and that he was, as of late 2021, dating some mystery woman.

If there is (or at least was) something serious brewing between him and the rumored lover, Drake has done a good job of keeping the news to himself. In fact, his love life remains hard to pin down and mysterious from top to bottom, and many are keeping an eye on whether he will eventually settle down or open up.
