Amanda Batula Follows West Wilson Out the Door, Won’t Be Part of ‘Summer House’ Season 11 Cast
Amanda Batula won’t be checking in to Summer House over the Fourth of July weekend, according to a new report.
Amanda Batula won’t return for ‘Summer House’ Season 11
The Bravo personality is not part of the cast for the upcoming 11th season of Summer House, TMZ revealed on Monday. Apparently, she will not be joining her co-stars in the Hamptons over the upcoming holiday weekend, when filming typically begins on the popular reality series.
News of Amanda’s exit comes not long after it was reported that her boyfriend and co-star West Wilson would also not return to the show. However, sources have told the publication that both Amanda and West could still appear next season in some reduced capacity.
Amanda is also part of the cast of the new Summer House spinoff In the City. That show is currently airing its first season, and there’s no word yet on if it will return for season 2 and if Amanda will continue to film if it does.
Amanda and West’s romance rocked the ‘Summer House’ cast
Amanda and West’s departures come months after their scandalous relationship caused series drama among the Summer House crew. In January, Amanda and her husband, Kyle Cooke, confirmed they had split up. Soon rumors began to circulate that Amanda and West were dating – rumors they confirmed in a late March social media post.
Both Amanda and West insisted there was nothing off about their relationship timeline and that they kept things strictly platonic until their public announcement.
“There was no overlap,” West said on his podcast in April.
Nonetheless, Kyle has said he feels betrayed by his friend West. Meanwhile, fellow Summer House star Ciara Miller – who seemed on the verge of rekindling her romance with West in season 10 – has also expressed her hurt and frustration over the situation. While she’s said interview that she should have known not to trust her ex, she feels that her former friend Amanda have known better that to get involved with West.
“At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy,” she told Glamour. “Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you can’t just put anything past a man. But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part.”
Summer House is streaming on Peacock.
