Phaedra Parks is standing by Kim Zolciak.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star says she’s been in touch with her former castmate, whose 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, has been charged with felony sexual battery, sodomy, and child molestation. He has pleaded not guilty. The charges stem from an incident involving a girl at a gym in Alpharetta, Georgia, in April 2026.

“We have spoke. Yep, we have spoke,” Phaedra told Us Weekly on October 10 while marking National prEP Day at The Abbey in West Hollywood.

“We text, and you know, Kim is very resilient,” she said. “I love Kim. We were on the show together, but outside of that, we’re both mothers. And so as a mother, and I have sons… I empathize with her and my prayers are with her.”

Phaedra added that she has “extended every amount of support that I can for Kim, because, you know, no one knows anything.”

“You’re innocent until proven guilty,” The Traitors alum continued. “That’s our judicial system here, and I think sometimes with social media, people are obviously adjudicating cases that have not been heard by the courts.”

NeNe Leakes texted her former ‘RHOA’ costar

Phaedra isn’t the only RHOA star who has Kim’s back. NeNe Leakes was also at the event on Saturday. Like Phaedra, she said she reached out as a mother to a mother.

“Right when it happened, we texted, and I text her because I’m a mom. She’s a mom. And I know the parent always get it,” she said.

“But sometimes, as parents, we’re trying to prevent these kids from doing certain things, and they would just do it anyway. And I just wanted to reach out to her and just say, ‘Hang in there,’” NeNe added.

Kim shares KJ with her estranged husband, former NFL player Kroy Biermann. After KJ’s arrest in August, she defended her son, saying that he had passed a polygraph and claiming that the victim had made false reports of assault in the past.

“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling,” Kim said in a statement shared with Page Six. “He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged.”

In late September, KJ was released from a youth detention center to his mother’s custody. He had to surrender his passport and is not allowed access to his phone or social media. The teen must attend school virtually and is not allowed contact with the alleged victim, her family, or his associates. He is also not allowed contact with anyone under the age of 16.
