The Duggar Family

The Duggar family is one of the largest families in the United States with 19 kids. The Duggars rose to prominence on the TLC reality series 19 Kids and Counting and its spinoff Counting On, though they also appeared on TV prior to these shows. The Duggars are devout Baptists and do not believe in birth control. Following a miscarriage, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar decided to stop using the pill and leave it up to divine intervention to determine how many children they had — which is how they ended up with 19 kids. The Duggar family has been a source of controversy not only for their unconventional values and conservative views. In 2015, it became public that eldest son Josh Duggar had sexually abused four of his sisters plus another girl. He also admitted to cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar, and using the Ashley Madison site for extramarital affairs. Josh Duggar later was convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material and is now serving a prison sentence.
