In 2018, she played a lead role in the Golden Globe-nominated film A Star Is Born. She was nominated for Best Actress and Best Original Song for “Shallow” at the 2019 Oscars and won the latter. Lady Gaga was the first person to receive a Best Actress and Best Original Song Oscar nomination in the same year. She is also the first woman to ever win an Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA, and Golden Globe in the same year—all the accolades were for A Star is Born.
