‘Selling Sunset’ Season 4 introduced Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan

Fans know Jason and Brett Oppenheim run their brokerage like a family. That means they don’t let just anyone work for them.

But in season 4, The Oppenheim Group Emma Hernan, who previously worked for the company, back into the family. “[Emily and I] have been friends for probably four or five years,” Mary Fitzgerald shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet in November 2021. “She worked at The Oppenheim Group before she came on the show.”

The vegan empanada mogul returns in Selling Sunset Season 5, as does Mexican-American novela star turned real estate agent Vanessa Villela. Before following in her sister’s footsteps and becoming a realtor, Vanessa starred in Mexican TV shows like Romántica obsesiónEllas, and Un nuevo amor.

In season 5, fans will meet another new realtor, Chelsea Lazkani. The British-Nigerian luxury realtor previously knew Jason, who sold her husband Jeff Lazkani a house.

Davina Potratz rejoins The Oppenheim Group

In Selling Sunset Season 4, Davina Potratz briefly stepped away from The Oppenheim Group to work for Douglas Elliman in Beverly Hills. There was no ill will between Davina and The O Group when she left, but she wasn’t away for long.

In the fourth season, Davina asks for her desk back. Despite what fans saw in the final edit, her return to the office was a welcome one.

“Heather was especially welcoming,” Davina told Vulture in November 2021. “She was so kind to me, and she made me feel very welcome. And so was Emma. That, unfortunately, didn’t make it into the final edit.”

Christine Quinn and Emma Hernan have a history in ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 4

As Mary teased to us, Emma and Christine Quinn have “a history” that came up throughout season 4 of Selling Sunset. “She’s going to — without meaning to — ruffle some feathers with Christine,” Mary said in November 2021.

Christine and Emma allegedly share an ex-boyfriend, Peter Cornell. As Christine revealed in Selling Sunset Season 4, Peter proposed to her before cheating on her with Emma.

Emma claimed that wasn’t the case. “Everything that’s coming out of her mouth is bulls***,” she told cameras in season 4. “I would not describe her banging on my windows as calm. She was 100% reinventing the story, creating her own narrative, which is what she’s famous for.”

Christine Quinn becomes the odd woman out at The Oppenheim Group

The Peter narrative drives a wedge between Christine and Emma in season 4, but that’s not the only co-worker she has problems with. By the end of the fourth season, Christine has gotten into arguments with several of her colleagues, including Mary, Emma, Chrishell Stause, and Heather Rae El Moussa.

In the season 4 finale, Heather asked if Christine would have a word with all of the women. “I’m so good,” Christine replied, denying the group a conversation but offering to talk to them individually. Mary is the only one who does so, but got frustrated with Christine when she refused to acknowledge and apologize for her actions.

Jason Oppenheim and Chrishell Stause are dating at the end of ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 4

At the end of season 4, Netflix teases what’s to come on Selling Sunset, including a glimpse at Chrishell and Jason’s relationship. They dated privately for two months before making their relationship public in July 2021.

In December, Us Weekly reported the couple called it quits. But not before cameras could capture footage of Jason and Chrishell together for Selling Sunset Season 5.
