Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad is a 2016 action movie based on the DC Comics supervillain task force of the same name. Starring Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto at the Joker, the film follows a ragtag team of dangerous baddies recruited for a top-secret task force to save the world from the apocalypse.
The movie received disappointing reviews but was a box office success. It also spawned a Grammy-nominated soundtrack and won an Academy Award for Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling.
A 2021 standalone sequel, the James Gunn-directed The Suicide Squad, stars some of the same actors, including Robbie.
