‘Power Book II: Ghost’: Another Big Death Is Coming Before the End of Season 2
Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 has had a shocking moment in every single episode. At present, Tariq St. Patrick’s (Michael Rainey Jr.) freedom is still hanging in the balance. It also appears that Brayden (Gianni Paolo) is going to be forced to testify against his best friend.
Monet Tejada’s (Mary J. Blige) life is currently in shambles. Her affair with Dante aka Mecca (Daniel Sunjata) has been revealed and she’s trying to get Zeke (Daniel Bellomy) to trust her again after revealing that she’s his biological mother.
Amid the revelations about Monet and Zeke, the Tejada family is split down the middle. Now, fans are bracing themselves for impact since there will be another major death before the season comes to a close.
What is the ‘Ghost’ Season 2 finale about?
The Power Book II: Ghost Season 2 finale, will air on Feb. 6, 2022. The episode which is titled “Love And War” will be important for Tariq and the Tejada family. The official description of the episode reads, “Tariq refuses to give up on his loved ones. Tariq must help Monet save her own family. Monet, finally seeing the whole board, must move quickly to protect her family from Mecca.”
It looks like Cane (Woody McClain) is also going to be at the center of this season’s finale.
A big death is coming in the ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Season 2 finale
If there is anything we know about the Power Universe from the original series to Ghost and even Power Book III: Raising Kanan, it’s that anyone can die at any time. Thus far this season on Ghost, Carrie Millgram (Melanie Liburd) and Lauren Baldwin (Paige Hurd) have both met their end. However, there are a few more characters that won’t make it to season three.
During a recent Instagram Live, Power Universe creator Courtney Kemp gave further details about some major deaths. “You will see a face from Power Book I, she explained. “There is a least one very happy thing that happens. Cane has to make a very very difficult decision in episode 10, and it’s one that can change the course of the game. There are a few deaths, but there is one that will really affect you guys.”
Will Mecca die?
Since Kemp says that a couple of deaths are coming down the pipeline in the Ghost Season 2 finale, we’re going to guess that at least one of those deaths is Mecca. After all, Monet seems to suspect that her lover’s intentions are less than pure.
Now fans are speculating that he’s going to catch a bullet. “If anyone is dying this szn it’s Mecca,” one fan guessed on Reddit. “Very disposable character.” Another added, “And [his storyline] developing way too fast. By the 3rd episode, we know his true identity. 4th episode we know he Zekes’ daddy. Power doesn’t keep characters like him around. They [just used him] to keep a plot going or create one. Just like Milan.”
