Lin-Manuel Miranda is an award-winning American actor, singer-songwriter, playwright, and film director who is known for writing and starring in Broadway musicals, Hamilton and In the Heights, as well as creating music for animated films such as Moana, Vivo, and Encanto. (He also starred as a voice actor in Vivo.)

He made his directorial debut in the biographical musical drama Tick, Tick…Boom! in 2021. When it comes to TV, Miranda had recurring roles on The Electric Company and His Dark Materials.

So far, Miranda has amassed the following accolades: three Tony awards, three Grammy Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, two Laurence Olivier Awards, one MacArthur Fellowship Award, one Kennedy Center Honor, and one Pulitzer Prize.

In March 2022, he has a chance to complete the coveted EGOT honor if he wins an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Dos Oruguitas” from Encanto.
