Born into the entertainment industry, Kristen Stewart's father is a stage manager and TV producer. Her mother is a script supervisor and filmmaker. Stewart got into acting as a teen and quickly landed a role as Jodie Foster's daughter in the thriller film Panic Room. After five more years of experience (Into the Wild, In the Land of Women), Stewart accepted the role of Bella Swan in the romantic fantasy movie Twilight. Her life would never be the same.
Stewart concluded the five-film Twilight Saga franchise and sought to break out of the teen heartthrob mold. She's starred in several award-winning movies since then, including Snow White and the Huntsman, Lizzie, and Café Society.
